However, last night, one of Strictly’s longest- serving stars was missing and fans couldn’t believe their eyes.

Viewers had already been treated to a Tango to Firework by Katy Perry, performed by Susan Calman and her professional dance partner, Kevin Clifton.

With co- host Claudia Winkleman by her side, Tess Daly gave us the traditional introduction to the singers and band, but something was different.
Instead of regular guest vocalist Hayley Sanderson, a singer called Tori stood next to regular singer Lance Ellington.
The change did not go unnoticed by viewers either, and some were quick to voice their shock on social media.
As she went through the new- look line- up, Tess had given no explanation for Hayley’s absence from the evening’s entertainment.
However, with fans beginning to grumble, the singer herself took to Twitter to explain.
That’s an impressive record for any of the show’s stars, so we’re not surprised that so many fans were so quick to spot Hayley’s absence.
Here’s hoping that Hayley will be well enough to return to the stage in time for next week’s show.
