Linda Nolan appeared on Good Morning Britain today (Thursday, August 29) to share another cancer blow she’s experienced.
The 65-year-old singer has been living with secondary breast cancer since 2017. Last year, she revealed that the cancer had metastasised to her brain.
Linda Nolan dealt fresh cancer blow
During today’s GMB, Linda discussed how her current treatment wasn’t working.
“I just want it [the cancer] to go,” she said. During the interview, she also revealed some heartbreaking news.
The former Celebrity Big Brother champ revealed to Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway that her stepson has been diagnosed with cancer.
“We have had a rough time with it [cancer] and my stepson Lloyd has just been diagnosed and it’s like ‘go away! Leave us alone’,” she said.
“But the treatments out there are brilliant now,” she then continued.
Linda Nolan on cancer treatment not working
Just yesterday (Wednesday, August 28) in her column for The Mirror, Linda revealed that her cancer treatment had stopped working.
She found out the news last week following her most recent scans. Her scan showed growth of the two largest tumours at the front and left side of her brain, and a slight increase of smaller cancerous spots surrounding them.
“I sobbed when my consultant first told me. I know so many people are suffering and going through things, but I thought, just for once, could cancer just leave me alone? My heart sank,” she wrote.
She then went on to say that she knew her health was taking a turn when her balance began getting worse.
