Ever since Mel Owen returned to Walford, a romance with handsome Jack Branning has surely been on the cards.
After all, he’s just her type, no?
But there’s a fly in the ointment in the shape of her son Hunter – who is determined to scupper this latest Walford romance.
Noticing that his mum is growing closer to Jack, Hunter decides he wants Jack out of their lives for good.
Hmmm, maybe he doesn’t realise how persistent Jack is!
Next week, Jack offers to help Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) with a malfunctioning burglar alarm at the R&R. And it’s pretty obvious to any onlooker that there’s a bond forming between the pair. And it’s certainly not lost on her son.
In scenes to be shown on Thursday 1 March, Hunter (Charlie Winter) wants to support Mel as she gets ready for the re-opening of the club. But he’s thwarted when Jack also offers assistance, leaving Hunter feeling frustrated and angry.
Hunter doesn’t want Jack (Scott Maslen) hanging around all the time!
