The shower scene. It’s an I’m A Celeb staple. A chance for the stars to flaunt their figures and swimsuit choices in the hope it might boost their chances of staying on the show.
Well, it worked for Myleene Klass whose career was relaunched in 2006 after she was regularly seen showering in a white bikini.
Since then, Amy Willerton, Jorgie Porter and Ferne McCann among others have hoped a shower scene could help their chances of attracting some more air time. Not to mention help them freshen up.
But this year’s campmates will have to find another way to stay clean as it was revealed on Good Morning Britain that they have been banned from using the jungle shower.
Revealing the news, showbiz reporter Richard Arnold said the area will be out of bounds for now due to an invasion of bloodsucking leeches.
He said: “The real rub here is that they have invaded the shower and the shower scene is quite famous, particularly if you want to start selling bikinis off the back of your stint.
“So for now the shower is out of bounds.”

The creatures, examples of which were in the GMB studio today with expert handler Carl Peters Bond, have been drawn out in the jungle due to the bad weather down under.
Carl explained how the leeches operate when Susanna Reid asked him how they would “sneak up” on the showering celebs.
