Gemma Atkinson has put herself in the frame for Strictly glory with some scintillating performances this series.
However, bookies reckon the Emmerdale actress may have shot herself in the foot by choosing the wrong dance for this weekend’s semi-final.
Gemma, 33, and her professional partner Aljaz Skornajec, 27, will be performing the Tango to The Knack’s My Sharona on Saturday’s show.

According to research, the Tango has accounted for 14 per cent of eliminations over the course of the show’s history.
And a spokesman for Betway, Alan Alger, commented: “Viewed as the ultimate test, the Tango is certainly a favourite amongst Strictly viewers.
“The sizzling routines make it difficult to pull off, and our research suggests it’s very much a risk-reward scenario for dancers who attempt the notoriously tricky dance.
