Gaynor Faye has hinted she is returning to Emmerdale.
The Megan Macey actress quit the soap earlier this year amid a crisis that saw it lose nine major cast members.
Her character Megan decided to leave the village after the death of her partner Frank Clayton in the factory fire.
“Leaving Emmerdale, yeah, it’s heart-wrenching,” she told Graham Norton on his Radio 2 show.

“[I left] to do the stage show. I just wanted to do something different. That’s what an actor does, I do different roles.”
But she intriguingly hinted that a comeback could be on the cards with Frank not being responsible for the fire or his own death.

Viewers know Kerry and Amy started the fire accidentally to cover their own thieving tracks and let dead Frank take the blame.

“I didn’t leave, I still see loads of people and Emmerdale’s around the corner, but I’m absolutely loving doing this show.”
She previously admitted it was a risk to leave the soap, adding: “It’s a risk.
