Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield have only just got engaged in Emmerdale but they’re in crisis already.
The landlady and the vet had been off and on for almost a year before Charity finally popped the question after realising she loved Vanessa more than anyone else.
But now while they are still in the honeymoon phase of their engagement, shock new research has claimed they are heading for a split.
That’s before they even get down the aisle!
Emmerdale came at the bottom of a research poll from Tombola about failed marriages in soapland.

Researchers looked at 23 marriages in the soap and found that only 32 per cent of them have been successful.
As in not split, divorced, cheated, and all manner of soapy drama that befalls characters like Charity Dingle.
Overall Emmerdale has seen 49 marriages fail in the village which doesn’t give much hope for Vanity or their happy ever after.
Of the 49, a huge 44 of them ended in divorce, meaning there’s very little point in tying the knot in the village without being able to undo it quite quickly.
And with the odds stacked against them, will Charity and Vanessa be able to become the exceptions to the rule?
Or is yet more drama, death and terror coming to ruin their lives and their upcoming wedding?
