Emmerdale SPOILER: Armed siege leaves someone fighting for their life

There's terror at Tall Trees

There’s danger and drama heading for Emmerdale next week when sinister Max arrives at Tall Trees armed with a gun…

Soap fans have seen Ellis Chapman living in fear and suffering from panic attacks since his stabbing on the evening a group from the village went to a local night club.

The scenes in which Ellis was left fighting for his life were part of Emmerdale’s Big Night Out episodes, and while everyone thought that Billy Fletcher’s old accomplice Max was to blame, it turned out to be different dodgy acquaintances from his past.

However, that hasn’t stopped Ellis living in fear that Max is after him, and next week it seems he is right to be scared when the villain makes his return to the village, and this time he is armed.

The trouble starts when Max runs through his plan to rob a van with Billy, totally oblivious to the fact his former colleague has already shopped him to the police.

As Billy and another acquaintance called Woody get the go ahead from Max, they put their robbery into motion.

However thanks to Billy’s tip off it’s not long before the police are intercepting the trio as they hijack the van.

But while Billy is convinced he has done the right thing by siding with the law, he is fuming when DS Sanders says that they can’t promise him that Max won’t find out that he shopped him to the authorities.

Billy panics that this means he and his family are in even more trouble than they were before, and he’s right.

Little does Billy know, Max is already at Tall Trees, and is lying in wait upstairs for someone to come home.

As Marlon, April and Jessie head home from the village football match early, they’re horrified to find Max in their home… especially when he flashes a gun at them.

The thug blackmails Jessie into calling Billy, but he and Ellis are too busy at the football to pick up the phone, and by the time Billy checks his messages things have got heated at home.

Eventually Billy gets his mum’s message and the brothers race home… but once there it is clear Billy is the one Max is looking for and a dangerous tussle ensues between the men.

As the pair fight, the sound of gunfire rings out around the village.

But who has been shot?

Someone from inside that house will be left fighting for their lives, but has Max finally got the ultimate revenge on Billy by killing him?
