Corrie legend Bill Tarmey’s son Carl dies aged 52

He had an inoperable brain tumour

Actor and Coronation Street legend Bill Tarmey’s son has died aged 52.

Carl Piddington has passed away 10 years after he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and told he only had 12 months to live.

A post on the Brain Tumour Research page confirmed the news of Carl’s death.

His father Bill played loveable Corrie character Jack Duckworth from 1979 to 2010, and he died of a heart attack two years later in Spain aged 71.

In 2017, Carl said his dad “completely fell apart” after he told him about his cancer diagnosis.
