On a royal engagement this week, Princess Anne declined the opportunity to learn how to rap!
The Princess Royal, 75, was hosting a ceremony at St. James’s Palace when the offer was made.
Princess Anne ‘declines’ rapping opportunity on royal engagement
Earlier this week, Princess Anne hosted an investiture at St. James’s Palace.
During the engagement, she met with Bhishma Asare, a rapper. Asare, 34, is behind Rap Therapy, which helps young people develop their creativity and express themselves positively through rap.
Asare was made an MBE for services to mental health awareness and education.
As reported by HELLO!, speaking after his meeting with the Princess Royal, he said: “I was explaining the process and saying that we get children to write about a specific emotion, to explicitly mention that emotion so they can decipher those feelings.”
“Then I said to her: ‘Maybe I could teach you to rap?’ She said she used to sing, and that is about it. She kind of declined and said her time is up,” he then revealed.
Princess Anne one of the ‘hardest working royals’
The investiture was yet another royal engagement for the Princess Royal, who remains one of the hardest-working royals.
Last year saw Princess Anne revealed as the second hardest-working royal out of the whole royal family, with just her brother, King Charles, beating her in terms of engagements undertaken.
2025 saw the king carry out more than 500 royal engagements, despite his continued cancer treatment.
Anne, meanwhile, carried out 478 engagements last year.
Speaking about the king’s achievements, royal reporter Patricia Treble told The Mirror: “Considering he spent the entire year undergoing regular cancer treatment, the king set the pace when it comes to royal duty for the House of Windsor.
