‘You never want to lose your life’: Samantha Womack admitted she ‘started preparing’ for her death following cancer diagnosis

Samantha announced she had cancer in 2022

Actress Samantha Womack, who is appearing on Sunday Brunch today (March 1), previously admitted she started to prepare for her death following her cancer diagnosis.

The 53-year-old, who famously played Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer while paying tribute to Olivia Newton-John in 2022.

In December 2022, Samantha shared a positive update that she was now cancer-free. However, that didn’t stop her from preparing herself for the worst amid her diagnosis.

Samantha Womack started planning her death during cancer battle

In June last year, Samantha told The Sun: “You obviously never want to lose your life, but cancer forces you to look into that cupboard. I started preparing for that from the beginning, because you do realise you could be close to possibly having that final moment.
