Hell hath no fury like a The Chase fan scorned – so Shaun Wallace should certainly be watching his back right now.
Viewers of the weekday ITV quiz show have shown their disapproval of the chaser, aka The Dark Destroyer, and have called for him to be axed.
His crime? Being “[bleep] useless”.

ITV viewers didn’t show Shaun any love during last night’s Valentine’s Day show (Thursday 14 February) when they criticised him for his performance – even though he DID steal away the win from the contestants.
The 58-year-old braniac denied giving the quiz hopefuls Yvonne, Luke and Peter the chance to win 15,000 – but it STILL wasn’t enough to please fans of the show.
Before the chase, one fan took to Twitter to urge Shaun: “If Shaun doesn’t catch these he has to go.”

And even though Shaun DID foil the attempts of the trio, fans still weren’t happy, with one tweeting: “They ought to get rid of Shaun from #thechase. He’s bloody useless!!”
Another hoped they’d get Shaun if they appeared on the show, typing: “Said it before and I’ll say it again, if I ever go on The Chase, I want to take on Shaun. Much weaker than the other four.”
“Taxi… for Shaun!!!” wrote another, while one more said: “Anything over 15 steps Shaun will struggle.”

While one budding poet penned a rhyme in Shaun’s honour, saying: “Roses are red, And some have a thorn, The players will win, Cos the Chaser is Shaun!”
Barrister Shaun, 58,is also a part-time lecturer and often visits schools, colleges and other institutions to educate students on the many aspects of law.
In 2004, he won Mastermind with hisspecialist subject ofFA Cup Finals.
Shaun, who ranked 286th in the World Quizzing Championships in 2012,joined The Chase as a chaser in 2009, alongside fellow chasers Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Mark Labbett, and Jenny Ryan.
