There was much consternation among viewers after Melvin Odoom was denied a ‘dance-off’ to save him in the competition.
The TV and radio presenter had received the least viewer votes but he couldn’t be saved by the judges as Anastacia pulled out of the ‘dance-off’ due to injury.

The Mirror Online reported that she had had a meltdown backstage and was refusing to carry on.
The line from Strictly bosses was that she had suffered an injury during rehearsals and this had been aggravated by her performance in the show.
