Stephen Mulhern has broken his silence with a statement about the death of his beloved dad.
The tragic news came after the TV presenter was himself taken to hospital at the end of November 2024 following a health emergency.
The Deal or No Deal presenter, 47, was dining out following an operation at the end of November when 999 was called. Reports claim he “reacted badly” after having a few drinks. He was then taken to hospital “as a precaution”.
It came at the end of an “incredibly tough time” for Stephen, who also lost his dad last year.
Now the star, back on screen with Celebrity Catchphrase today (May 25), has spoken about his dad’s death for the first time.

On November 28, a spokesperson for Stephen told Metro: “Stephen has had an incredibly tough time over the past few weeks. His beloved father recently passed away which has hit him hard and has been understandably very stressful.
“In addition he had a procedure which took place on November 27. Following the anaesthetic that was administered, he had a few drinks which made him unwell and he was taken in to hospital as a precaution.”
They added: “He is now back home recovering.”
