A man has been branded ‘spiteful’ and ‘vindictive’ for refusing to feel his pregnant wife’s belly kicks – all because she wouldn’t let his mate have a feel.
Taking to Reddit to explain his story and ask the internet if he’s being unreasonable, the user was quickly slammed in the thousands of comments that poured in.
He said on the site: “My wife is five months pregnant with our first child. Recently, she has felt some small kicks from the baby. I tried to feel for a few nights, but no kicking.”
His best friend came over to play some games with the two of them, and as they were talking about the baby, his wife felt the little one kicking.

He continued: “My friend, who was very happy and excited, asked if he could feel her belly, and she said, ‘No, but I appreciate you asking’. My friend was visibly upset/discouraged, but we moved on.”
His friend had a few drinks and spent the night at their place, and when he was gone the husband confronted his wife about what happened the night before.
He told her he was “upset” that she hadn’t let his pal feel her belly, but she explained that it was her body and told him she didn’t want anyone other than her husband or mum touching.
The user continued: “So I told her that I will not be touching her belly and that that was my choice and I thought she was being unfair to not let my friend (30 and single) experience that life growing inside of her.”
He concluded the post by admitting that his wife “cried a lot” but he thought she was being “selfish”.
Safe to say, those in the comments didn’t hold back, blasting the user for being ‘vindictive’ and accusing him of ’emotional blackmail’.
