Eurovision host Graham Norton has revealed that he has undergone secret surgery ahead of this year’s contest.
The legendary host, 62, will be fronting the song contest live from Basel, Switzerland, tonight (Saturday, May 17).
Eurovision star Graham Norton reveals secret surgery
Last week, Eurovision host Graham sparked speculation when he attended the BAFTAs with his left arm in a sling.
Now, the Irish broadcaster has revealed the real reason behind his apparent injury.
During an appearance on Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 2 show yesterday (Friday, May 16), Graham revealed that his arm was in a sling as he’d recently undergone shoulder surgery.
Appearing alongside Eurovision star Conchita Wurst, he added: “This is my left shoulder’s first appearance on radio, a brand new shoulder. It’s less than two weeks old.”

Graham was then asked how he was feeling after surgery.
“It feels a bit new, it’s a little owie [sore], but forgive me, I’m on many, many medications right now, so if I say anything bad, it’s not my fault,” he then said.
However, the star didn’t reveal why he’d undergone surgery – but, he seems to be on the mend!
Graham will be commentating on Eurovision tonight for the BBC live from Basel, Switzerland.
UK entry Remember Monday will be hoping to impress with their song, What the Hell Just Happened. They’ll be looking to beat the UK’s 18th-place finish from last year.
