Ellie Goulding has revealed the name of her new baby.
The singer, 38, welcomed a baby girl last Friday at a private hospital in London.
Ellie already has a son, although her daughter is her first child with actor boyfriend Beau Minniear, 28.
She shared their sweet news on Instagram alongside a first picture of their newborn baby.
Ellie has now also revealed the name of hers and Beau’s little girl.
They formerly confirmed her full moniker in an official announcement in The Times newspaper’s Births, Marriages and Deaths section.
Meaning of Ellie Goulding’s new baby name
The announcement read: “Minniear-Goulding: On 6th March 2026 to Ellie Goulding and Beau Minniear, a daughter, Iris Edeline.”
We can reveal that both names are traditional and have strong meanings.
Iris is originally a Dutch name. It is the name of the flowering plant, which comes from the Greek iris, which means ‘rainbow’.
Edeline, meanwhile, is the more unusual of the two. It has an English origin. Its meaning is ‘noble and kind’.
Ancestry.co.uk states: “In the annals of history, Edeline first emerges as a given name during medieval times in England.
“During this era, nobility and social status held great importance, and as such, names like Edeline were bestowed upon individuals of high birth or noble heritage.”
Ellie announced hers and Beau’s happy baby news earlier this week.
She posted a snap of her tot on Instagram, as she lay wrapped in a cosy cream cardigan and scratch mittens.
Fans were given a glimpse of her Iris’ face, poking out from underneath a matching cream woolly hat.
The Burn singer captioned her Instagram Stories post: “On Friday I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl.
