A survey has found that 43 per cent of Brits think it’s ok to put up Christmas decorations… in October.
The British autumn brings with it Halloween at the end of October and then, shortly afterwards in November, Bonfire Night.
But just under half of people polled don’t disagree with starting the Christmas celebrations early.

The Plymouth Herald reports that a survey commissioned by Minted found that of the 2,000 people polled 43 per cent of them believed it was fine to puts up the decs in October.
The survey also found that 57 per cent of people do their seasonal shopping before November 1.
When it comes to being organised, a whopping 83 per cent have a Christmas to-do list, and over half admitted to starting their list before October.
In what will be no surprise to many, but the survey also found that 21 per cent of men wait until December to start their planning, while only 14 per cent of women left it late.
Other tidbits from the survey include 43 per cent of men usually purchase a present for their co-workers compared to just 31 per cent of women.
