TV star Alison Hammond has opened up about her struggles after losing an impressive 13.5 stone in weight.
Since rising to fame in the early 2000s, Alison has been open about her weight-loss journey. In 2007, she had a gastric band fitted, but had it removed in 2010 after her body rejected it.
In 2022, Alison revealed she has had obesity her āwhole lifeā and insisted people ādonāt realiseā itās a ādiseaseā. However, in her latest update, Alison sheās managed to keep the weight off with the help of a personal trainer.
How Alison Hammond lost 13.5 stone
During an interview with Closer, Alison admitted she can remember being ānearly 30 stoneā before losing weight.
She continued: āIāve got a personal trainer, sheās amazing. She trains me when I can train. If Iām working, I donāt train, Iāll go for a walk. But when Iām at home, Iāll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.ā
I still struggle.
Since shedding the weight, Alison has noticed people have complimented her. However, when sheās asked to offer others advice, she admitted it feels ādangerousā to do so.
āIf anyone is struggling, go and speak to a doctor or someone who knows about diet. Iām the last person to get advice from, because Iāve struggled all my life. And I still struggle,ā Alison explained.
Alisonās diet
When it comes to Alisonās diet, she revealed she eats everything āin moderationā.
During an interview with The Times, Alison stated she gets up early, whether she has work or even if sheās had a late night the day before.
The 50-year-old begins her day with an immunity-boosting ginger shot, before enjoying a Full English breakfast, where she energises herself with eggs, bacon, and sausages.
When sheās in the studio working, Alison has Caribbean food for lunch, which includes rice, peas, and chicken. However, if sheās at home, she will cook a homemade lasagne.
āIf Iām staying in, Iāll rustle up curried goat and rice or chicken fried rice,ā she revealed about her evening dinners.
