Alan Carr has slammed King Charles for failing to recognise him. The beloved comedian apparently has a bone to pick with the monarch.
Chatting on his podcast, Bottomâs Up! with Lee Peart, Alan revealed vented about something that âp****dâ him of.
And it seems King Charles is the root of the issue.
King Charles fails to ârecogniseâ Alan Carr
Alanâs co-host Lee prompted the conversation when he explained that, on the contrary to many, he doesnât actually mind January, despite it sometimes feeling like the longest month of the year.
He pointed out that we âexpectâ January to awful.
When actually, he finds February a âlittle bit drearyâ.
Alan then joked that is why people shouldnât do Dry January, the challenge where people give up booze for the whole of January.
The comedian quipped that January is a rather âgrim monthâ to give up alcohol.
Why Alan Carr is âfumingâ with King Charles
Explaining why his January was even more disappointing, Alan said: âHey, thatâs another thing that p****d me off about being January.
âNew Yearâs Honours List; another year, another slight!
âSurely, Iâve been in showbiz for 25 years. I do loads for f*****g charity. Nothing. I do this podcast with you.â
Alan Carr wants a knighthood
Lee then replied that perhaps an MBE âcomes firstâ before a knighthood.
âOh no, skip that. I want knighthood,â Alan responded.
Lee then hit back, stating that he didnât think you could just âskipâ out on the honour.
Alan then insisted: âYou can! Oh yeah, you fast track, babes. Honestly, Iâll fast track.â
Lee then quipped that Alan had âspoken like a true potential knightâ.
Alan then hilariously conceded that his comment was spoken like a âtrue fantasistâ.
